Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy de Domme. Audrey's parents as a dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for acting and drama on an early stage. Their support was enough to thwart her initial goal of becoming a an animal scientist. The early success of her career and the rapid growth in popularity marked her as a young actor. Prior to beginning the acting profession, Tautou took part in Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that focuses on talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of Best Young Actress in during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou is a pupil of in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and was a student there from an early age, has disavowed her Catholic childhood. She now says she is not a Catholic. Modeling and acting are interspersed. Tautou was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and she is often known as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival with the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on the spotlight and celebrities and then turns her camera to the journalists who scrutinised her following her sudden rise to stardom with Amelie in addition to a series of self-portraits. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big part in the film Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office hit, receiving accolades during awards ceremonies across the globe. It's also the biggest French language film ever to be released in the US. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to star in many films including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. She also starred alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
